'Dither and Linger'
Dither and Linger is a highly textured, layered work inspired by walking amongst rockpools with oystershells.
The lower layer is metal gilding which glints through the holes in the upper layer. The upper layer is fabric stitched with thread and wire, shells collected from a beach in Aotearoa/New Zealand, coloured with ink and rusting paint effects.The work is varnished for protection. It is supplied mounted onto archival board ready for you to choose a frame to suit your home.

Materials and Care
This artwork includes rubber backed fabric, polycotton thread, cotton thread, iron wire, shell, gesso, acrylic ink, iron paint and rusting solution. It is protected with satin polyurethane varnish.
It can be framed with or without glass.
If framed under glass, do not allow the glass to be in contact with the artwork. A box frame is recommended.
If not under glass the piece can be attached to a canvas. Cleaning textiles not under glass is best using a feather duster occasionally.
