'a space where we choose' sculpture
This beautiful small iron wire sculpture is set on drift wood found at the stone filled beach of Jones Bay, Tawharanui Park near Auckland, New Zealand. The wire is interwoven with deconstructed plastic rope, discarded, washed up and now re-purposed.
Materials and Care
The materials are wood, iron wire and plastic yarn. The wood and the yarn have been treated with anti-bacterials and the completed sculpture has been sealed with polyurethane varnish.
To care for your sculpture simply brush with a feather duster or similar as required.
Though the sculpture has been varnished, if allowed to get wet it is possible that the iron wire will rust further. In this circumstance thoroughly dry then spray with a clear varnish satin polyurethane.
